COVID 19 Update

On Sunday night, the Prime Minister announced a new set of restrictions on indoor gatherings aimed at controlling the spread of COVID-19 in Australia.
As part of these restrictions on indoor gatherings, pubs, clubs, restaurants, cafes, gyms and places of worship were to be closed as of midday 23rd March.
We are saddened to have to close our doors, but as always our number one priority is the health and safety of our Members, guests and employees. We take these new restrictions very seriously and will be ensuring we are compliant.

We continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will provide regular updates.

As you are well aware the Prime Minister announced new measures to control the spread of Covid-19. These include restrictions on 'non-essential' gatherings and are capped at 100 people per indoor area and 500 people per outdoor area.
With these restrictions in mind, we remain open for business however will be implementing the following changes:
Cancellation of weekly Club activities including but not limited to all Lawn Bowls, Bingo, Raffles, Euchre and Bridge.
Additional operational changes to ensure your health and safety are also now in place:
Cutlery will be delivered to customers with their meals
All condiments (salt & pepper, sauces, coasters, sugar, stirrers) will be removed from public areas and provided to customers on request along with glasses and straws
Active implementation of social distancing measures including removal of tables from dining and lounge areas and limiting number of gaming machines available for use
Existing proactive hygiene and cleaning standards will be maintained
MUBC continues to monitor the situation closely and will of course follow the advice of all official government departments

It is important to remember that the best defence against any virus is the practice of good protective health measures. Following the simple steps below will go a long way to ensuring you are protected:

The clubs staff will be discouraged from engaging in personal contact, such as shaking hands of fellow staff, members guests and visitors. Please do not take this in any other way than as a preventative and and control measure to help prevent the spread of the virus.
